2022 Nonpartisan wishlist from the children of the future

Other than kindness, good will, and joy...  Other than hope our government will get it together...

Here is what should more or less be popular by 2050 assuming we can hold below 2.5 C' global warming, regardless of whose fault anymore, and hence would be pretty popular for us to start believing in as possible, immediately:

To stop global warming, manage our resources as good stewards, and prepare for a better future;

A Very Green Holiday Wishlist

1.  Cannabis regulation creates legitimacy allowing science to begin massive research and development to unleash the natural resources our forefathers utilized.  Super Warp Speed bulk testing by the FDA of all the top products from the half of states where reason has already appeared and the profits and jobs followed will unleash health and beauty products; hemp resins can substitute for plastics as a biodegradable alternative; hemp can replace wood for paper, building materials and allow trees to stay as carbon sinks.  Taxation of the above, increased opportunities in the economy, and growth will pay-go.

2. Development and distribution of COVID mRna Vaccines 2.0 designed to teach our immune systems to attack common weaknesses in all varients thus far observed evolved.

3. If x is the number of unhoused persons nationally, and x is the number of new low cost high subsidy homes provided and distributed according to need freely, then there are many fewer unhoused persons.  I also estimate the economy is about four million new or improved units per annum over the next five years short of existing demand.  Build with fireproof waterproof hemp resin fiberboard and other hemp products to reduce costs, too.

4. Peace Department.  Has been proposed as an idea as a counter to the proverbial 'war department,' DoD, splitting up the budget, but post 2020, here we add to create national standards for police reform... How?

A modest proposal; a massive grant to allow every police force to expand 10+10%.  For every dollar a local force approves for first agent responder services, soft forces like counselors, EMTs, training domestic interventionists, beat cops, SVUs and other devices critical in managing social crisis in community, a matching dollar from the grant is allocated for the same activities.  A five year program could be used to run hundreds of ten year trials everywhere with data, reporting and science to allow us to reconvene and figure out what was the best use of such resources in preventing not just crime but also youth delinquency, reduce prison population and recitivicism, improve police community relations and serve as a function of domestic tranquility.  This is easily funded from the Peace Dividend, now that the three trillions dollars / twenty year adventure overseas is done.

5.  Prison reform.  We need to end the preverse incentives of for profit prisons in our economy.  Expunging dubious and wrongful convictions, particularly as relates to the failed Drug War, will allow certain citizens to begin to pick up the pieces.  Reform creating a Federal Maximum of suspension of the fascia, or citizens bundle of rights, for those who have lawfully served their sentences, which ex-Felons have often permanently partially or wholly suspended after they return to society.  It makes them partial citizens, or citizens with abridged rights, at best, and there but for the Lord goes thee-- it could happen to you!

For instance, such a delimitus could restore an ex-felon's right to vote after five years good conduct from prison.

6.  Clean the oceans from pollution and plastic!

7.  Expand renewable energy.

8.  Domesticate (and manufacture) electric cars!

9.  Fund the EPA especially by enforcing fees, fines and existing regulations....

10.  FDA reform, aside from having to start a Hemp, Cannibis and derivatives therefrom department, it also needs to add a UL style division to correctly advise on the mixing, combined regular use and common misuse of the Galaxy of household consumer products, currently not even required to disclose ingredients, contents or chemical composition.  This all needs to change now that the invisible microscopic world has your attention, presently.

Labelling all products to accurately reflect contents, hazards and then using this data checking how some of these interactions may be adverse.

Labelling food more accurately, plastics now also would seem to need to be labeled and disclosed to facilitate recycling efforts, and nutrition statements more complete.

Bonus: We may want to consider reforming labelling laws to also include adding the legality of using metric measures if only to increase import choices; require nationally distributed brands to have certain basic information in both French and Spanish to increase trade with our North American neighborhood; and make the whole thing translated into the North American trilingual with some Chinese basic information on any product designed for international distribution.... On this last point, the most sublime American Propoganda is the distribution of our goodness.  Our instant coffee might taste like freedom to a young dreamer in the quasi-communist regimes that remain... A youth hoping to make a positive change.

I hate COVID for the record, as this is the first post I have done for quite some time!!

I pray for everyone's health, safety and prosperity this new year, and hope we can get back to remembering that it is more important that we are US citizens, our nation is so important she's worth more than the bickering and divisions that our enemies love to see tear at us.

We are a nation composed by people of every kind, and this makes us the Great Example.  I hope the powers that be can remember that, because if we get above 2.5' C we may have too many natural disasters to effectively cooperate- permanent emergency crisis management.

Let's watch the economy start moving and put 2020 and 2021 in the rearview mirror.

God bless us each, one and all!
